Sanitation Services - Environmental Management System

An Environmental Management System (EMS) is the business system of “plan, do, check, and act” applied to the management of environmental issues.  Organizations who have implemented an EMS have experienced numerous benefits, including improved compliance, reduction of environmental impacts, cost reductions and improved staff understanding of environmental issues.  The Dallas City Council adopted an Environmental Policy in January 2005. This policy commits the City of Dallas to environmental compliance, pollution prevention and continual improvement.
